Windshield chips & cracks in Arden-Arcade

King Auto Tint's only shop is at 2450 Fulton Ave, between Marconi Ave and El Camino Ave, in the heart of Arden-Arcade. For most neighbors that is a few minutes' drive on Fulton, Watt, Howe or Marconi.

We offer auto glass repair: windshield chip and crack repair and full windshield replacement. You drive in, we look at the damage with you, and we explain whether a repair will hold or the glass should be replaced before any work starts.

Why Arden-Arcade drivers choose us

Worth the drive.

We're on Fulton Ave in Sacramento, minutes from Business 80, serving drivers from Roseville to Elk Grove. We know the valley's heat, the I-80 and US-50 rock-chip commutes, and the tint rules CHP enforces.

Local roads & glass damage

Why chips happen here.

Arden-Arcade's main roads are busy commercial corridors. Watt Ave, Fulton Ave, Howe Ave, Arden Way, Marconi Ave and El Camino Ave carry delivery vans, contractors' pickups and landscaping trailers all day, and anything loose in a truck bed can end up on your windshield. Business 80 runs along the south edge of the neighborhood, and freeway truck traffic is where many chips start.

Heat makes it worse. Cars parked in open lots at Country Club Plaza or Town and Country Village sit in full sun through valley summers that regularly pass 100°F, and blasting the A/C on the drive home puts stress on the glass. In winter, Tule fog means long stretches of wiper use. Both can turn a small chip into a crack that runs across the windshield.

Repair or replace?

As a general guide, chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than about six inches can often be repaired. Damage directly in the driver's line of sight, damage that reaches the edge of the glass, or several cracks branching out usually means windshield replacement is the safer choice. Our post windshield repair vs. replacement walks through how we decide.
