Jeep Gladiator Window Tint in Sacramento
On a Gladiator, tint covers the door glass and the glass in a hard top, including the rear cab window, while soft tops need a separate conversation. Carbon or ceramic film on the rear and legal light film on the front doors is the usual approach.
The Gladiator shares its front half with the Wrangler but adds a pickup bed, and we've tinted Gladiators at our Fulton Ave studio. Owners use them as trail trucks, daily drivers and weekend haulers, often in the same week. Like the Wrangler, the Gladiator can have a hard top or a soft top, and the top determines which windows are glass.
With the hard top, the rear cab window and rear quarter areas are part of the removable top, and some trucks have a sliding rear window. Tinting the rear glass keeps the sun off the back seat and makes tools and gear less visible when the truck is parked at a trailhead or job site. The four doors have glass windows that are treated like any other side glass. The upright windshield is exposed to the same gravel and highway debris as a Wrangler, so many owners ask about chip repair at the same time as tint.
Recommended film for the Gladiator
HP Smoke Plus, with its scratch-resistant coating and smoke-grey finish, is a natural fit for the Gladiator's look and budget. VortexIR ceramic (up to 88% infrared rejection) is the upgrade for more heat control. California rules: front door windows need at least 70% combined light transmission; rear door and rear cab glass can be any darkness with dual outside mirrors; and the windshield allows a non-reflective strip on the top 4 inches. See Solar Gard films and ceramic window tint; we'll recommend the exact film and shade on your quote.

Windshield & auto glass
Gladiator glass care.
The Gladiator's upright windshield takes direct hits from gravel, and equipped trims carry driver-assist cameras behind it, so replacements must match your truck. Some model years offered a Gorilla Glass option, which also affects the part. Chips are easiest to fix early; see windshield repair. For a crack, see windshield replacement: if your vehicle needs calibration after a replacement, we'll tell you before work begins and explain how it will be handled.
FAQ
Jeep Gladiator questions.
Can you tint a Gladiator sliding rear window?
Yes. The film is cut to the sliding and fixed sections so the window keeps working.
Does the Gladiator hard top need to be on for tint?
Yes. The rear cab glass is part of the hard top, so please bring the truck with the top installed.
How dark can my Gladiator rear windows be?
Under California rules, rear door and rear cab glass can be any darkness with dual outside mirrors.
